Debra Magid

After a career of more than 35 years as a designer working in the fields of Museum Exhibition, Retail, Restaurant and Signage Design, I have switched directions and rediscovered my Fine Arts roots, rekindling the love of making art.

With a degree in Industrial Design, my entire professional life has been spent as a problem solver, responding to the restrictions of client needs and schedules. Now, as an artist, I refuse to be bound by those issues.

The work shown here is the joyful exploration of the intersection of the human form, color and movement. Experimenting with scale and composition in pastel, watercolor and acrylic, I am exploring how the basic human form can be interpreted and rendered to be both real and imaginary.

My work is owned in several private collections in addition to having been shown in the following exhibit spaces:

2021 (upcoming)

  • VIVID Dreams, Presented by Parkinson’s UK and Arts Council England. Gallery@OXO - London, UK - Coming February 2021.
